Ex-Bush Aides Share Theory About Pelosi Delaying Donald Trump's Senate Trial

(Apologies if already posted..)

Two former aides to President George W. Bush have put forward a theory for why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is delaying sending the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the Senate.

Paul Rosenzweig, who served as the Department of Homeland Security’s deputy assistant secretary for policy under the Bush administration, tweeted Monday that Pelosi could want to ensure Trump “is still under impeachment” when he delivers a State of the Union address on Feb 4.

“Imagine what it would be like if he got to give the SOTU having been cleared by the Senate ― it would be a full-blown triumphal rant,” Rosenzweig wrote.

“But if the impeachment is still pending, it might, instead, be an unhinged narcissistic screed of almost unimaginable insanity,” he added. “Just think of how painful it would be for 53 Republican Senators to sit in the halls of Congress, watching a live meltdown on national TV. That, alone, would be worth the price of admission.”

“Maybe I’m wrong and this hasn’t crossed her mind ― but I love the idea,” he concluded.

to all kinds of demands while Trump's head explodes. In the meantime more and more damaging evidence will continue to surface.

I'm cozying up to the idea of never sending them the articles of impeachment.

of her strategy to withhold. More and more information is going to come out about his crimes and he is going to become more and more unhinged. It will get to the point where the GOP cannot defend him anymore and may come around to removing him.

I mean, she did say he would "self impeach."

House schedule. Looks like the first day of business in next Tuesday. Going to be very interesting. Liking the first week of March. Believe there are some Appealed Court Cases about to drop in later January and first part of February. Stone and Flynn Sentences in the same time frame.

immediately.

No reason to give Trump a chance to spike the football, in his most televised/covered speech of the year, on his inevitable bogus exoneration. He'll spike the football on that some day, but don't let him do it during the SOTU.
