My freshman year, 1970, she played on campus at a small venue. I was sitting about twenty feet from the stage and fell madly in love ( or was it lust? ). I told someone at the time that she could have put a dime in the back pocket of her jeans and you would have known whether it was heads or tails.
And had she known how smitten I was, I'm certain she would have invited me backstage, so that's how close I came, so take that hearts emoji off your post, Lochloosa, that's my girlfriend you're talking about.

And then I found out (quite a lot later actually) what a genuine and authentic individual she was (is). I've been looking forward to this film.

I have been a fan for so long. Even after my friend and dorm neighbor set her record player to play the 45 of Different Drum over and over every time she had a fight with her boyfriend, I still want to hear her sing it. My friend and her husband have been married for 50 years now.

She is such a huge part of the soundtrack of my life. When I turned 50, I got to see her and EmmyLou at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The only thing better would have been if they had sung Happy Birthday to me.

This illness of hers, breaks my heart.

What a fool question.

Ronstadt has sold over 30 million records in the United States according to the Recording Industry Association of America, and more than 100 million albums worldwide.

interviewed not long ago by Anderson Cooper. I don't know if that's part of the documentary or not. He asked about her comparing the current political climate in the U.S. with that of Weimar Germany in the early 1930s. I forget what she said but...she gets it.

And looking forward to watching.

I saw her in concert many years ago in Minneapolis....little bitty thing in a Cub Scout uniform. One of the great vocalists of our times. So sad about her illness.

Such a magnificent voice, and beautiful to boot! Fun to see Don Henley drumming behind her.

And such diversity....country, rock, opera, Spanish, you name it. Been a fan since she came out, and it makes me really sad to see her with Parkinsons.
