Clinton was apparently doing a good bit of riffing and ad libbing last night.

According to various pundits who were trying to follow their written copies of his speech, he was off script quite often, at some points doing four or five lines for every one written in his text.

Supposedly the speech was to be 20 or 30 minutes and it went 48, his longest convention speech ever.

I will bet he gets the Dems a boost and that his personal approvals get a bump, too.

on the subject of the DNC convention possibility retaliating for Clint Eastwood's performance at the RNC convention (link).

Then he turned Bill Clinton loose -- and Clinton Eastwood sure got a lesson in how to riff and ad lib, didn't he?
