This is just a guess. When Iran responds I believe they will attack a military target.

They have a lot of military targets to aim at in the Middle East. We killed their top general, they will try to respond by attacking our military in some way.

Just make sure you can get around without power and cell phones for a few days.
They will wait until they assess what the world reaction to the US is. Then they'll do whatever will make our country small and weak.
Trump has taken us down to third world status now, alongside Maduro's Venezuela. Trump's rich fellow travelers might be doing well, but they're still looked down on by the rest of the world - ignorant new money provincials and mobsters who got where they were through scams and schemes.

Iran will most likely retaliate in a different way. They don’t want outright war because they are already depleted and they know they will suffer too much. It’s more effective to hit back in the cyber world, by cutting off oil supplies (they’re the 4th largest producers of oil in the world), or by acts of terrorism on any American interests worldwide, or Embassies. And one thing they can do is hit Trump directly through any and all his hotels, golf courses and resorts worldwide. Very few people will care if that happens, other than any workers who would be killed. Hopefully word will get out and everyone will abandon his properties.

The last thing any country wants is war with the US. The only reason we’ve been at war over there is because Bush and Cheney sent troops. Not because anyone in the Middle East declared war.

Try not to worry about something that is unlikely to happen.

unsettling due to the fact I fought so hard for him not to enlist, because of Trump. I obviously lost, he is happy and thriving in the Air Force, I try to focus on that. I am up here, living with them, so I can help my pregnant DIL with my granddaughter and be here when the baby is born.

and Trump is rightly perceived as being insane and unpredictable. If you think he scares us imagine how the rest of the world feel right now! Of course I think he has done this deliberately to scare everyone. He’s acting like a crazy man precisely so everyone will fear him.

And a huge plus is your son is in the Air Force. No grunts on the ground there to be used as fodder. It’s probably the safest military branch to be in.

The USA has nuclear bombs, stealth aircraft, a big navy, army, and air force. Iran isn't as sophisticated but Al Qaeda has proven that one doesn't need a high degree of sophistication to produce military results of great devastation. All they needed were a few hijacked civilian aircraft. Iran's response will be unexpected, devastating, and decidedly low tech. If Iran were to get sophisticated, they could use a "dirty nuke" - smuggled in to the US and detonated near major military installation. A wall wouldn't stop them from coming in... a night time boat landing perhaps? Iran doesn't have enough material to make a proper nuclear weapon but they probably have enough to make a dirty bomb.

In any case, Iran will be patient and will strike back at a time of their choosing in a manner we will not expect.

to us here in the U.S. Cyber, of course. We've all been engaged in shadow cyber warfare for some years now. And they can be precise. They wiped out Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas hotel database, or something like that, after he called for nuking Iran. (Good for them.)

Richard Engel thinks Iran will use this above all toward getting the U.S. out of the ME, and that allies in surrounding countries and Shia-populated regions will also launch attacks toward that end.

They are being provoked to respond in kind. The Iranians know Trump will respond with overwhelming force, so they might hold off. They would make Trump stronger if they attack.

It would be ironic if Trump properties would be what stops him from starting a war.

Actually that might be exactly what happens. When haven’t his properties dictated his policies? Never. From the moment he stepped down that escalator it was about his properties.
