The role we play in protecting our servicemen.

The only checks and balances that we have in America to ensure that we don't put our servicemen in harm's way comes down to our votes and protests. Each time a GWBII or Trump gets through, it means unnecessary civilian and military casualties. This is why it is crucial to protect our elections, and crucial to stand up to American presidents who are so narcissistic that they would use our servicemen as pawns to protect their own skins or follow their own agendas.

I don't think we get enough credit for the role we play in this formula, but I suspect that this time, with Trump going rogue, our role might finally be appreciated.

state legislatures and the courts have a big role too. So far the only effective pushback on tRUMP that I've seen comes from Democrats and some judges. Public opinion and polls are fine in their way but totally ineffectve on tRUMP. TRUMP feels secure with his enablers and cultists but that doesn't change the fact that he has been impeached and will continue to run roughshod until this all plays out.
