The impeachment of Donald Trump is not similar to impeachment of Bill Clinton

...in any way.

Senator McConnell says "fair is fair" and calls for the same process that was used in the Clinton impeachment.

Monica Lewinsky was the main witness in the Clinton trial. It was primarily about Clinton lying under oath about sex. The charges against Donald Trump are much more serious and there are many more witnesses involved.

Clinton is not the precedent - Trump is the precedent. The fscts and evidence must be presented. McConnell cannot be permitted to cover up this investigation and trial.

had he been impeached and had it gone to trial.

Instead he chose to resign.

But the trial of Nixon would have involved all of his close associates, including his attorney general, white house counsel, top aides, etc.
