(8,361 posts)They do seem more than motivated to show up to vote. I guess its that combination of fanatical christian views and their commitment to it that always worries me. Even long before Trump the Republicans stay in power in part because of these nuts.

(2,787 posts)Matthew 7:21-26
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
In other words many will come Jesus saying Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? Have we not detested immigrants in your name? Did we not support orange Hitler in your name? and done at least what we thought were wonderful works in your name? and Jesus will say to them "flee from me ye that work iniquity I never knew you". They didn't do the will of the father John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. The will there is to believe on the Son his finished work and his person.
Jesus Christ alone is the the rock in which a Christians eternal salvation needs to be built on, not things people do or not some cause they supported especially one as disgusting as supporting Trump that's building your house on a foundation of sand.
