Macy's is closing 30 stores, per LBN headline. Online shopping can't do everything, though.

I immediately checked the article to see if my store was included in the closures.
To my relief, it isn't.

I'll be honest, I don't go there a lot, but there is one critical service they provide: bra-fitting.

I'm a hard-to-fit woman, and my body has changed fairly significantly over the years.

Every year or so I need to get re-fitted.

And, some brands work for me and some don't, even in the same size.

Only professional fittings keep me comfortable and non-lumpy looking.

If that service went away, I would really miss it.

Playtex fitter can tell you you need a perfect fit. Been a long time but I still swear by the same bra!

I just recieved 2 packages from online Macy’s yesterday.

I have to change every couple of years at least.

Every tiny weight change in my body is reflected in my breasts, I've even changed cup sizes a number of times. Recently, I went down a cup size for no apparent reason. (No significant weight loss overall).

I guess I'm just weird.

I started doing it at home about 10 years ago and it made things so much better. I've never had experience with someone at a store who could compare (the measurements are so much more comprehensive).

And you're perfectly correct. That service could not be provided online.

As in what I want can't be bought at a physical store location.

I would never trust online shopping for clothing or food. Those are things I like to physically inspect before buying.

Too many screw-ups and returning is a hassle.

It is impossible to fit a bra without trying on. Too many variables and styles.

Full bust, medium, all styles are different.

With Amazon you take to UPS, they package it for you. Kohl’s also taking back Amazon.

I do prefer local stores as you get the same sales, rewards you do in the store.

I love it.
