Soon we will see the Senate be allowed by Congresswoman Pelosi to begin the impeachment trial.

When this occurs the Senators will take an oath. An oath separate from their oath taken when they assumed their elected offices. This new oath, which the founders of our nation believed necessary, requires that the Senators must swear to be faithful to the intent of the Constitution, the requirements of an impeachment hearing and the rules by which impeachment hearings operate. Not Moscow Mitch’s machinations.

This oath is must be taken by each Senator. I believe it should be required that each Senator take the oath individually. NOT as a collective group. Each oath given and taken should be video taped.

It may come as a surprise to folks like Moscow Mitch, Jim Baker, Shawn Hannity or even trump ( to whom all facts seem to surprise) the oath will not include being faithful to any political party, person or entity other than the Constitution and the impeachment trial. The oath requires swearing to God you will be true to these principles. I’m sure other deities may be substituted where needed, but you get the idea.

Note to republicans: Moscow Mitch is NOT God, or other substitutable deity.

No one should expect the GOP Senators to be impartial, or to respect any oath they might take.

They won't hesitate to violate that oath at every turn. They are shameless.
