Lindsey tells Mike Lee & Rand Paul that criticizing Trump is "empowering the enemy"

Manu Raju
@mkraju

Just asked Graham about the criticism from Paul and Lee over Iran briefing. “I think they’re overreacting. I’m going to let people know ..to play this game with the war powers act, which I think is unconstitutional, is that whether you mean to or not, you’re empowering the enemy”

comments. Lee wasn't happy about being told not to discuss/debate war powers. He did not hold back any punches.

Joy Reid pointed out that Lee and Paul are both "tea party" conservative libertarians. She said they (tea party/freedom caucus) go along with the GOP crowd for the most part, but become quite unruly and not controllable when an issue - like war - that they really care about crops up.

Lee was particularly incensed about being told by believers not to disagree or argue with what he was being told, so maybe he’ll argue with Linds because OH WHY NOT

Paul fires back, says on @CNNSitRoom that Graham’s comments are a “low gutter type of response” and says that Graham “insults the Constitution and founding fathers.” He adds: “He hasn’t even read the history of the Constitution.”

That even if the president makes the most shit-stupid decision in the history of bone-stupid decisions, anyone pointing out the stupidity of his decision, as plain as it is to everyone in the world, it's empowering the enemy? Is that what you're saying? What does the original shit-stupid decision do to the enemies empowerment? Do you think countries and factions hostile to the United States can't see for themselves how shit-stupid Trump's decision was? Or they wouldn't have figured it out until someone else pointed it out?

Because if that's what you're saying, your giving Trump's shit-stupid decision a real run for its money.

Lindsey and his pals did not mind empowering the enemy when Obama was President. In fact, Republican Senators sent a letter to Iran urging them to drop out of peace negotiations with the Obama Administration.

Please explain how the ever living fuck Iran is "empowered" by a senator from Utah being pissed off about an intelligence briefing.

The enemy has very much been empowered (here's a hint for you dumbass. The enemy is drumpf, and the empowering comes from you).
