There are no limits to which the Republicans will not go to destroy anyone who opposes their determination to transform the presidency into a dictatorship. When I see Mitch, I hate to admit it but I actually despise the bastard. The slack jawed repulsive bastard is a disgrace to our nation. He represent everything that is un-American and vile. My faith in our nation is being seriously tested when I watched Trump enthusiastically applauded at the LSU vs Clemson game. They are worshiping one of the most immoral men to every be put in a position of power with unrestrained glee. If this continues unabated and without challenge, does our nation even have a future? What has such a large segment of the nation come to when people openly cheer without restraint the very face of evilness?

(58,785 posts)the more likely one of these will happen:
McConnell will be defeated and sent home AND Democrats will become the senate majority.
McConnell will be reelected BUT Democrats will control the senate and McConnell will lose the one position he strived for for 30 years and rejoin the minority caucus as a failure.

(14,825 posts)I'm sure the ethics committee will take immediate action. Right after mitch tells them they can.

(42,747 posts)I'm not saying it shouldn't have been filed, just that no one should expect it to result in anything.
The Senate Ethics Committee is a graveyard for complaints. The only time in the past 7 years that the Committee took any formal action against a Senator named in a complaint was the 2018 "Letter of Admonishment" issued to Robert Menendez. In 2019, the Committee received 138 complaints.. None resulted in any disciplinary sanction.
