Will senate repugs try to end impeachment trial before the SOTU?
No doubt trump would like nothing better than to be able to spend most of his SOTU speech boasting about how he was "exonerated", and how evil the democrats are for trying to impeach him in the first place.
It would be a great opportunity for him to repeat all of his vile lies again and again.
And since the senate repugs will be in control of the trial, they would probably be able to end it before the SOTU with a final vote in trump's favor. Especially if trump puts pressure on them to do so.
