He was on the Senate floor today, doubling down on a Trump "acquittal."
I didn't watch any of the Parnas coverage today. I'm aware of what came out of it, and still think this is going to land in voters' laps this November. I see no evidence that Republican Senators GAF and will do anything other than remain in lock step.

(18,837 posts)I read something recently...didn't find it compelling enough to share it here...about McConnell feeling he had more of a "guarantee" to do whatever the hell he wanted with Trump, rather than Pence.
But you make a good point...IF he thought that was in jeopardy, he won't risk it. Of course, he'd have to have a pretty clear vision in front of him of it all slipping away. Until that happens...until his Senate majority grows a spine...I'm still placing my bet on "November."

(90,714 posts)I am not all that sanguine about Trump losing at the ballot box. In addition, if he does lose in November, he will have almost 3 months left in office to wreak vengeance on the nation and the world.
You are right: Pence is extremely dangerous, especially to women. He is a religious fanatic who believes God wants him to do all kinds of things. However, he is also corrupt -- and I so hope he gets swept up and exposed in these investigations.
