(18,770 posts)Glad to hear Ukraine's looking into, but a US Ambassador was stalked by an unbalanced Trump support in the Ukraine. I really hope the FBI is looking into this.

(23,061 posts)Barr wouldn't allow an investigation into drumpf for any reason, he's already stated that in court. He's the fixer and needs to either be impeached or fired for cause - whichever is the appropriate way to get rid of a criminal traitor AG.

(1,753 posts)under surveillance Lev back tracked a bit claiming that Hyde was just a drunk and all the talk was meaningless. My sense, while listening to Lev, was that it seemed as if he couldn't say too much about that for security reasons - possibly the FBI is gleaning for further info.

(11,884 posts)Will show he knew about all this going on, and it will come back to haunt him. Articles to impeach Barr should be started ASAP for his removal, and his indictments coming after him for his crimes. They also could show trump was also behind her illegal surveillance. Wait for it, trump will claim they are corrupt and threaten them in numerous ways. Republicans in Congress , especially the Senators have to be getting pretty nervous now, and will be forced to convict trying to save themselves. This is still the tip of the iceberg what trumps involved in.

(21,256 posts)but Parnas told Rachel that Hyde was just a drunk, that he didn't believe the texts that Hyde wrote. We have to be careful here, Pernas does not back this up, at least not all of it.

(1,115 posts)Something was going on there. Parnas and Hyde may have nothing to do with what was going on.

(21,256 posts)Something obviously shook up the ambassador and the person who warned her. It is definitely deserving of investigation. I am Agreeing with you but didn't explain myself well enough. Thank you.
Whoever was doing this according to Parnas was not Hyde, but we will only find that out if we investigate.

(81,110 posts)Repeated statements that they had somebody inside.
The comments that her computer was turned off.
That shes talked to three people.
And the locators - shes next door to the embassy.
Stuff like that.
How do they know all these personal specifics about her, and her comings and goings? How do they know this if they dont have somebody keeping close tabs directly on her?
Sure sounds like stalking to me. Electronic stalking, personal eyeball stalking or, yes, physical stalking.

(1,115 posts)Hyde is just a clown thrown into the mix to throw off anybody investigating. Lev Parnas said he started drinking when he woke up and he never saw the man when he was not drunk.
But those texts were just enough to spark a REAL investigation and investigations always go where the evidence leads them.
Pacifist Patriot
(24,652 posts)several parties, including a drunk Hyde, were involved in the various campaigns against her. He may have been drunk and bombastic, but that doesn't mean he didn't also try to be a player. I have a feeling there was a bit of Keystone Cop activity going on here.

(11,757 posts)Ukraine prosecutor, reveal continued talks about getting rid of 'Madam' and Parnas guaranteeing she won't get away. I think Parnas is willing to admit to all the dirty dealing about the Biden stuff, but he doesn't want to go down for possible conspiracy to commit murder of a US Ambassador. Everything he says can and will be used against him in court.

(53,410 posts)Two things are relevant here. Maria Yovanovitch was under threat and had to leave the Ukraine very suddenly and Hyde claimed he was watching her.
If he was just a lying drunk then that has to be established. But doesnt it seem a little too odd that Hyde would be even saying such things and then it turns out she was in harms way?

This whole thing has stunk to high heaven, and it is good that the Ukrainians are taking this matter seriously.

(32,579 posts)... because Ambassador Yovanovitch was warned to leave immediately for her own safety. Even if someone sincerely tried to help her - rather than get her out of the way - they knew about the danger she was in. This needs to be investigated and Bill Barr hasn't done shit.

(43,044 posts)that Hyde's texts were just the jests of a drunk. Rachel did ask about them being sent over the course of a week and the subject went elsewhere.
If it were all in jest, why was the Ambassador advised to flee for her own safety, and who tipped her off? Sounds like this story has legs.

(2,590 posts)When the texts, emails, meetings, etc., are taken together, Parnas would have been candidly discussing their apparent plans to assassinate a United States ambassador who had become an *inconvenient* woman. It was smart of him to try to laugh off Hyde as a drunk and a low level hanger-on, but as both Chris Matthews, Rachel and Lawrence all said last evening, there was too much specificity and detail about her locations and activities. Somebody was following Amb. Yovanovitch. Someone was passing on this info to Hyde who, in turn, was passing it on to Parnas - or the intended fall guy. At least, I believe he was the one left holding the bag and was the intended useful idiot tRump, Ghouliani, and their mob attorneys (DiGenova, Toensing, Ghouliani, and Barr) would implicate in a plot to have Amb. Yovanovitch murdered on the street, disappeared or *roughed up*. More than once I saw Rachel giving Parnas the side eye about Hyde's activities and Parnas's attempt to brush it all off. Frankly, the content of the texts certainly didn't seem like the incoherent utterances of someone so alcohol impaired he could barely hold onto his smartphone and have the manual dexterity to type out a text. When a person is so drunk from hours of continuous drinking, they simply don't have the coordination or ability to string together intelligent (hah!) thought. I mean, seriously, how did Hyde even get roped into this cabal? Another useful idiot fall guy to take a rap? Who knows any longer.

(2,590 posts)That's why he wanted the Articles immediately. He was going to get his bobblehead retrumplicans to vote immediately to dismiss. I believe the whole lot of them were aware that they were trying to perform brain surgery on a hand grenade about to blow and wanted to get this over and done with and in the tank for their Man in Moscow - or on the Potomac as the case may be.
They can *vote* to make this all go away for tRump, but they're going to be facing reelection and meeting with their constituents in the near term, and they're going to be the ones facing the grilles of the voters and the consequences. And the stench that wafts into the nostrils of people trailing in their tainted and corrupt wake is going to be noxious to the point of unconsciousness. Probably though, they won't face any repercussions from the voters. Probably. They're certainly betting their futures on that. After all, they're all going to have a *debt* to pay for it. But, we shall see.
