Pelosi on Parnas: "Does anyone think that rogue A.G. is going to appoint a special prosecutor?

Pelosi on Parnas: "Does anyone think that the rogue A.G. is going to appoint a special prosecutor? No, because he's implicated in all of this. This is an example of all of the president's henchmen. And I hope that the senators do not become part of the president's henchmen."

Pelosi: "When I was at grade school, there was a sign on the wall ... it said, 'What a tangled web we weave, when we first practice to deceive.' You see this more and more and more in all of this, this tangled web to deceive that the administration is engaged in."

It appears that Pelosi is playing an interesting game.

1. As we send over the impeachment papers, we are turning over the Parnas card.
2. If you don't let us have witnesses, we'll turn over another card.
3. You don't know how many cards we are holding.

4. Your turn, McConnell.

It may be nothing more than a fart in a frying pan, but keep mentioning the administration's naked corruption. Each new bit of corruption that leaks out should be pointed out and identified for the record. We can only hope that sooner or later some media outlet is going to notice and begin reporting even without a "both sides" angle.

It could happen.

The good people have done about everything they can. Now the task lies in the hands of forces we have little, maybe no, control over.

(Until November, that is)

Unlike them, she's got the Constitution on her side.

go public for probably much or (almost) all anyway. That suggests that, should McConnell not choose to have him subpoenaed to testify, Bolton might "testify" in the court of public opinion as Parnas did -- outside the constraints and control of trial procedure. As Kpete indicates, a trump in Pelosi's hand, at very least a wild card McConnell fears.

Eww, Nancy, drop that thing; you don't know where it's been! Put your boot back on it and hold it down.

The most delicious of the points, for me. Plus, you don't know how many more cards we'll be dealt before it's all over.
