"No underlying crime" marched into the graveyard of GOP talking points.

So here is what the GOP is fighting for, the right of a president to illegally overrule congress for personal political gain...which they're totally for, as long as there's never a Democratic president again

that there is a difference between violating a statute and committing a criminal act and still claim no underlying crime was committed. They'd be right though it doesn't matter as Trump was well aware he couldn't legally withhold the money(given the steps they went to cover it up, he clearly knew it was wrong).
