Has McConnell put the screws to his own caucus?

Now that they have all voted to table all the amendments up to this point, can he not say, "Well, we offered them the chance to vote for documents and witnesses at the end of the process, but the Democrats wanted to take votes at the beginning".

Then he could say there will be no more votes on documents or witnesses? (There may have been a few Republicans that would have voted with the Democrats?)

But this manuever by McConnell may have prevented them from voting how they planned on voting, because they agreed with his plan to present a trial similar to the Clinton trial?

Who the Hell knows what Mitch has planned?

I'm just sick.

Looking forward to Rachel tonight. Even gonna pour myself something. Chardonnay? Bourbon? Dunno yet.

come next election cycle. I note that Murkowski voted to table. Don’t know how you do that in good conscience. Anyway, I don’t expect anyone to break ranks here. Seems like only democrats do that, in fact. Sorry, but it’s true.

Will his stranglehold keep for the final vote? For a vote for acquittal? We shall see.

I do think that if we fail in this, and then we don’t vote every one of these folks that is up for election in November out, then it is truly all over. The America I grew up in will not be making another appearance, nor will it’s values.
