Maddow asked her how the Rs were reacting. She said some were embarrassed and looked at their shoes and a couple were sleeping. Wish she's have said who they were.

There proclamation that anyone speaking could be imprisoned applied specifically and exclusively (and expressly for anyone bothering to actually pay attention) to the moment when the House managers were exhibiting the articles. Otherwise, Senators are encouraged not to engage in conversation with neighboring senators, but there is no penalty for their doing so.
