knowing it would go this way is that it provides all the ammunition needed to defeat them in November. People are going to be so pissed.

Republicans to vote to not subpoena key witnesses and introduce key evidence yesterday "insurance votes." Meaning that snakes up for reelection like Susan Collins were forced to vote right up front against a real trial, so they now won't be able to hide that via machinations later in the proceedings.

The votes went as Schumer expected and will be used against them, not in a court of law regrettably, but in campaign ads for the court of public opinion.
