Why Rep Jason Crow asked about a break...

?s=20

Oooh, Jason Crow just PULLED RANK. Let me explain how.
The Senate is supposed to SIT DOWN AND LISTEN. Reporters have noted that Senators have been taking *liberal* breaks. (We can't see on TV).

Crow just asked Roberts to WAKE UP and notice that, asking if they needed a break.
Crow didn't need or want a break, and neither did the Senate. Crow was trying to wake John Roberts up, and ask him to demand... well "DECORUM."

Remember Roberts allegedly cares about decorum? Well, then it's on ROBERTS to make Senators follow their rules.
#ImpeachmentTrial

If you want a movie analogy, that was as CLOSE as Crow could come to pulling a Daniel Kaffee, telling Colonel Jessup "sit down, I'm not done yet."
#ImpeachmentHearings

It's little stuff like this where people who are paying attention will notice Roberts's bias. Most people are *committed* to declaring Roberts well-meaning, even when he's demonstrably not, but when he refuses to enforce the rules the Senate itself agreed to, it looks bad on HIM.

Reportedly, many Republicans have left the room for extended periods.

No court in the country would allow jurors to get up and walk out as they please.

Doesn't care since the anti-democratic libertarian organization has made its way into all three branches.

The "Roberts Court" - if there is history will be remembered as when this experiment was dismantled.

These sessions are way too long for all these old guys that need a nap. If these guys had carried mail, been a plumber, or teacher, or worked in an auto factory they would be retired AND taking naps. They are not up to the job after age 67.

unfortunately from Blackburn's state and I have views on these people that fox is coddling. I explained it to my 80 year old mother,, she called me back and omg you are right,, If I post my observations here,, I'll be considered a sexist. I actually am not, Im just an old guy who believes in this country. All I will say right now is look up pics of Marsha Blackburn,,Pam Bondi. And I have had to see Marha's ads over and over again. And numerous others ,including this so called spirtual advisor Dumpy just hired. One common thing I see, A cross on a necklace, but the chain is JUST long enough to point brains to,hmm to see the cross. Please dont dump on me,, I just see little things in life that bother me.

You are right in observing this and it is not indicative of sexism to notice it. For a long time now the cross has been used and abused to represent everyone from Madonna writhing on the floor "like a virgin" wearing a crucifix, to tough guys toting AR-15's with crosses tattooed on their arms or engraved on their rifles, to Pam Bondi, Marsha Blackburn, et al decorating their cleavage. And then there are the white crosses burning in the night to terrorize folks of the wrong color or wrong sympathies. It is shameful and offensive.

Disagree with the reason. GOP only uses religion to keep us divided and divert our attention.

They are committing a fascist coup right in front of our eyes, inch by inch and week by week.

The only thing that will stop it is if/when we hit the streets.

Welcome back ———— glad that you could join us for the Impeachment Trial. or request that Roberts call for the return of the MIA Rethugs to the chamber.

The Rethugs may be trying to hide their behavior but the Democrats can point it out in a way that they kill them with kindness.

Even better, have some staff members use their cell phones to capture videos of what the Rethugs are doing and use it in campaign ads.

If my R Senator has left (or to be fair my D Senator either), I would like to call up their office and complain about it.

It would be great if some journalist were tracking their comings and goings in violation of the rules.

CSPAN is angry right now that they cannot use their cameras in the Senate for the trial. Moscow Mitch is the only one who is controlling the cameras. That is why you have reporters who cannot talk to Senators as they normally do. This is why reporters are not allowed to show pictures of their own in the Senate - no cameras allowed. Moscow Mitch is trying to hide everything. I cannot wait to see that man voted out of office!
