It might backfire.

We already know he won’t be removed, and the GLORIOUS Adam Schiff et al have done a phenomenal job of making the case against him, playing video as if the witnesses had already been okayed.

I almost hope he does this. The result won’t be any different and he will look like a banana republic dictator to every citizen, both Democratic and Republican, except for the most brainwashed who are beyond redemption anyway.
