I am sorry to not be able to stay in Washington for the conclusion of the Senate impeachment trial but I need to be home with my wife at this time. We have many decisions to make as a family. I have every faith in my colleagues and hope the Senate will do what is right.

Dealing with a family illness is bad enough, but doing it under such circumstances is even worse. We appreciate all you do, and have done, chairman Nadler. Thank you for your service. Take care of your wife and family matters, leave the rest in the capable hands of your fellow democratic members.

(70,584 posts)If Chairman Nadler needs somebody to walk his dog, shovel snow, go to the store,
pick up some deli, or anything I can drive over to D.C. or his house in N.Y. right now.
And I bet about 1 million other people would be happy to do anything too.
