Last night's Republican aged fratboy "four more years" catcalls, and yeah, Limbaugh...
...I stand with the folks on DU who have said cancer sucks, and no one should have to endure it.
I also think that Limbaugh's current health needs to be separated from his legacy, and that legacy is not deserving of one of the highest civilian honors in our country. The award should not be a presidential consolation prize for becoming ill.
the only "surprise" last night was that Trump didn't go off script, and he was probably placated by the inclusion of digs at Obama and the words "radical left" in his prepared remarks. He was basically seething from the moment he walked in, played exclusively to one side of the room, pulled his "not gonna shake your hand" stunt, and at the END of the event, as he basked in the warm glow of Republican adulation, Speaker Pelosi made one of the most powerful, wordless statements in the history of his "presidency."
You can take the SOTU last night and view it as a precursor for Trump's re-election campaign, and add nicknames, bullying, insults, lies, braying and bleating and Celebrity Apprentice theatrics.
It's gonna be trench warfare, folks.
