Just outside in a T-Shirt, socks, smoking and breastfeeding on a sunny 55 degree January day

OK, I was joking about the breastfeeding but the rest of it is true. It is 55 degrees today and the grass is still green. No snow. No cold. And its January. The skies which are usually a sunless bluish-grey color this time of year are different too. Look like a perfectly clear summertime sun lit afternoon. Think I counted 11 or 12 different airplanes going in different directions and at different altitudes. Just perfect visibility.

Not saying it is climate change. More like the Twilight Zone.

KCI reported the average temperature for last month (December 2011) was 4.4 degrees higher than the average for all previous Decembers.

But, it's just a "natural phase."

I went to the nature center with my partner and walked around. I took a light jacket, in case the wind was blowing and making it a little chillier. I ended up taking off the jacket because I was sweating, just walking around. It is BEAUTIFUL out.

You put a nipple on the end of the bong and hook up a small plastic hose to the side of the chamber.

The baby does all of the work and you take a hit every 30 seconds or so.

Far from it.

You should see the collection of winter clothes I have here I need to wear walking the dog when it really gets cold. Layers and layers with insulated jeans and big humongous insulated boots. And the face mask and the hats, and insulated gloves. Mama Mia. Takes me ten minutes to get dressed to go when it is cold here.

And usually I need to wear a reflective vest because it is so dark even by 3:00 pm I don't want to get run over because there are no sidewalks. I walked the dog last night and there was still enough light because the skies were so clear at 5:00 pm there was no need to wear the vest.

It's about 50° F here. This is very bad news because it means the lake is nice and warm (4° above average). When the cold, cold arctic air comes through, we're going to get massive snowfall.

48F and overcast in Toronto today. Wouldn't bother me at all to have a snowless winter.

Edit: nvm, saw Chicago in #6 above.

Cost $60 to heat 1500 square feet plus an attached garage with a ventless heater in there.

Really pleased to see that.

We had a couple of cold days this week, but otherwise it's been warm. I have some cilantro growing outside in the "garden" that never died off. It's just as lush and green as it was over the summer. And yes, the grass is also green in the backyard. Funky weather.

That's why it can snow in Texas. The jetstream compresses from the extra power and dips all the way south, allowing arctic air where it usually doesn't go.

Try and get the moron wingnuts to understand that though.

Today's low ... perhaps 38.

So, in the span of 3 days ... or High of 68, is almost 50 degrees higher than the low of 20. And today's LOW of 38, will is higher than the low we had on Tuesday (34).
