How Democrats Can Fight Polarization to Win
~steven stroft~

Democrats should be winning—hands down

Trump wins by polarizing. And all too often, Democrats help him out. He polarizes us—not just his base. Then some of us take extreme positions while others say, “when they go low, we go lower.” That fires up his base and fractures the Democrats.

What causes such mistakes that prevent us from winning? It begins with deceptive political myths such as:

-The 1994 crime bill was racist. --No, most blacks backed it.

-FDR was a socialist. --No, he was famous for stopping socialism.

-Extreme talk is how to win. —No, it's been proven to polarize.

-Preaching from the bully pulpit works like magic. --No, it never has.

-Progressives can engineer a revolution. --No, they already tried and failed....

FDR didn't stop socialism, he used a little socialism to stop communism

Where is this 'progressive revolution' that 'they' tried and failed? Who is the 'they?'

What's considered 'extreme talk?'

Meh
