We're still using a euphemism: authoritarianism.....instead of what it really is: fascism.....FULL BLOWN fascism!
It's not a time to pull punches. Our representatives and surrogates are trying to be too decent to a group of skulduggerous bastards who have literally stopped at almost nothing in their efforts to enslave the rest of us.
How can we get the populace to rise up and stop the fascist storm in this country when we euphemize something this is vile and horrendous into something much less? It's almost like we do a reverse "Susan Collins" on ourselves. NO....we should NOT be concerned....we should be inflamed, as we literally try to save our democracy!
To HELL with their feelings! They are trying to end American democracy! Isn't that enough to cause us to fight back as ferociously as possible? If not, what will it take?

(1,683 posts)All of our members of both houses should have been all over the airways over the last few days telling the truth.....that Trump is a fascist who is trying to set up a dictatorship, as is McConnell and all other GOP members of Congress who defend him. Our top leaders, yes, Pelosi, et al, should have already called for specific, organized massive demonstrations to stop the destruction of our country.
Are we afraid that such an approach will hurt the feelings of the GOP supporters of fascism to the point that they will stop working with us? Well....guess what? They are already not working with us. Get it?
