After several years of breakneck growth, Wayfair may be hitting the brakes.

The Fort Pointer @FortPointer

A culture off the rails.

Wayfair founders worth $2.14 billion laid off 350 employees in Boston, after receiving a $31M tax break from the Commonwealth in 2018.

$2.14 billion is $2,140 million dollars.

That's enough to pay 42,100 people $50,000 each.

The Fort Pointer @FortPointer

2018: "At Wayfair's currently market valuation of $6 billion, that means each founder is worth about $1.07 billion."

But company founders (one a CEO) sought a $31 million tax break from the Commonwealth in 2018.

And they couldn't find funds to keep 350 employees at work today.
