And your 'job' is to act as Trump's personal defense attorney, keep his stupid ass out of jail, torch the constitution, reward his bag men and thugs, and punish his political rivals at any cost. Yes, I'd agree, that's a correct statement. His lack of impulse control make that 'job' very difficult.

However, if it's really that hard, you could always try to do the job you're PAID to do, by the American taxpayers INSTEAD! Just upholding the law, instead of constantly having to spray perfume on a turd would be MUCH more straight forward.

No way, knowing how Trump operates, that Barr would have made these comments without a clear understanding with Trump.
I bet they finally convinced Trump that his personal politicization of the DOJ was presenting real problems, so he allowed this statement from Barr so all the repubs can now claim that Barr has proven his independence and respect for the mission of the DOJ.
