We will know if Barr's "rebuke" of Trump is real or staged, by Trump's reaction.

yup
We will know if Barr's "rebuke" of Trump is real or staged, by Trump's reaction.
1 Calm- WH knew it was coming in advance & Barr needed cover to prevent a DOJ revolt
2 Explodes- Barr is saying he wants to run the show & Trump is an idiot for exposing their dirty activities.

We will know if Barr's "rebuke" of Trump is real or staged, by Trump's reaction. (Original Post) hlthe2b Feb 2020 OP
Of course his remarks were staged, we don't need a response from Trump to know it. This is Barr. Autumn Feb 2020 #1

However, if I wake up to a headline of TRUMP FIRES BARR, I will at least rethink my opinion.

He has walked in to a no win situation with Trump where he is lodged between a rock and a hard place that could only lead to personal legal issues.

I think Barr is there to manipulate Trump, every bit as much as Trump is manipulating Barr.

I don't think it is likely, but it is interesting.

If Barr just flat out resigned tomorrow, he'd would be vilified by the right as a Never-Trumper-Deep-State-Plant. So, if he DID want out, which I don't think he does, being fired is about the only way.

....resigning puts you in the same boat as Bolton, McMaster, and John Kelly with Trump looking to throw darts in his back.
Shutting down investigations and interfering with case work will get him disbarred at best and possibly jail after he is gone.

They knew the situation was spinning out of control so Barr is now trying to take himself out of the equation.

Except... thinking about it just now, it's a criticism of Trump's tweeting. That would never, ever be approved by the bag of shit.

So something could be unravelling here.

Could it be that Barr will be burned on the trash heap along with everyone else that tried to advance their career on Trump's coattails?

We do need to keep cool heads and watchful eyes, but how it goes is truly unprecedented.

It is a good idea to apply full skepticism regarding the WH and consider what kind of show and game they are playing now. To me, I just consider it all a means to condition and manipulate our population, (and oh, doesn't that sound paranoid in itself, huh?) for an ulterior motive and nothing else. It is not even about politics or the economy, (they are secondary targets for destruction) it is about a shift of the power structure itself into their hands.

So, yes, I would assume that Barr is going to play a game now, (fires are starting and may rage) and we may have an Abbot and Costello team now between Trump and Barr, (and my apologies to those two, great comedians) so to speak. Reality TV USA!

This is just getting started. The blows and salvos coming by way of media and Internet look like a potential blitzkrieg in the making.

Shields up. Full armor. Take nothing for granted. Vet your sources. Demand evidence when applicable.

This will not undo the last 1+ years as his "Roy Cohn". It is an act for the MSM and is temporary. I have been listening to CNN act like this is a big deal and have been yelling at the TV. Finally I changed the channel..bye bye Wolf! Is this the biggest news they can focus on? Nothing else is happening in the world that actually matters?!

If it was real, he'll explode.

If it was staged, he'll play along for 24 hours or less, then his senility, narcissism, and rage will kick in, and he'll explode.

happen over the next several hours or days...If nothing happens, then I suspect a set up, and like some other DUers have suggested, Barr just wants to do his dirty work under the table, w/o rump highlighting or tweeting about his every move.

So, like, for example, we were trying to offer protection to this shop-keeper because, y'know, we liked him and didn't want him to suffer no sudden bad luck. So I arrange for some fellows to go reason with him all about how sad we'd all be if some accidents might happen around here to him. And people are understanding my concern for his health and welfare. Then one day The Don starts talking about how the shop-keeper shouldn't be so stupid as not to buy some good affordable fire insurance, and the next day flames gut his shop. That's just bad luck, right? But now everybody looks at me, and I'm, like, y'know, Hey! I was just trying to do the right thing! but, no, they're all rolling their eyes at me and nodding like I was somehow involved. It's just an unfortunate coincidence, of course, but it makes my job very difficult"
