Judge Jackson: Stone not prosecuted for standing up to potus-Prosecuted for covering up for potus
#JudgeJackson stated that #RogerStone was guilty of witness tampering and lying in federal court. The charges against Stone were about his false testimony to the House Intelligence Committee regarding the #Wikileaks scandal during the 2016 campaign. Despite the pressure from #DonaldTrump, the Justice Department ignored his sentencing recommendation and gave Stone 40 months. Judge Jackson finalizes the trial by stating,” He (Stone) was not prosecuted, as some have claimed, for standing up for the president. He was prosecuted for covering up for the president”.
