the Next thing that needs to happen is a ban on confederate flags in public spaces, including t-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, etc. No place for that in modern society.

I’d also be in favor of banning civil war re-enactments and museums that try to humanize the confederates.

The answer to offensive speech is more speech.

Now, if there are traitor statues erected and maintained on the taxpayer's dime, or on taxpayer owned property, that's another matter.
