Wasn't this supposed to be about COVID-19 alone?
Not much of this is being devoted to the virus. Wash your hands, we're in good shape, etc. He's making this out to be no different than the flu and is even mocking this. WTF?
Why am I only hearing about the Democrats, Nancy Pelosi, his lawsuit against the NYT, how the DOW is dropping due to the Democrats, etc., etc., etc.
He's being asked direct questions about this virus and preparedness and is talking in circles.
The lady from the CDC keeps raising her eyebrows, swallowing hard and looks like she doesn't want to be there.
Kindergartners talk better than he does...."very, very, very bad", "very, very, very good", etc.
Mike Pence is handling this virus?
Why did something like this have to happen under this idiot and not under someone who could've handled this, like Obama?

Trump sounds like a complete idiot.
Why does he always have to say "really, really, really" and "very, very, very."
Gupta is asking him direct questions, concerned. Trump is rattling on like a very, very, very big idiot.
Good Lord.

Im sure we all remember his ridiculous boast, I know words. I have the best words. He doesnt know very many - his vocabulary is pathetically limited.

(34,086 posts)(clearly, absolutely, without a doubt, exactly, etc. - or in this case, "really, really, really" . They are typically used to empjasize a point, but they also typically have the opposite impact on the reader by making the reader skeptical. They are also used as a substitute for content, typically by someone who doesn't understand the content in order to avoid explaining things about which the have no clue.

But worse, a great number of Americans are not smart enough to know Trump is a such a very, very, very big idiot.

(55,445 posts)to expect Donnie to start acting like a grownup who actually believes in science now...
And now that he has literally gutted the leadership of every federal agency/department and installed unqualified loyalist toadies, I have no reason to believe this crisis will be handled in a halfway competent manner...
Hell, tomorrow he'll probably accuse Hunter Biden of injecting the stuff into Mexican gang members and then smuggling them across the border...

If anything, the Dem debate calmed the market. It only dropped about 100 points today.

(19,204 posts)smart people will take precautions and do everything in their power to keep from contracting this disease.
MAGAts will heed Trump's advice and contract the virus. Remember, this idiot stared straight into a solar eclipse. This could be nature's way of weeding out earth's parasites. My sympathies to those with MAGAts among their family and friends.

(8,813 posts)Not that I want a pandemic but I do want even the most impervious to see that Trump is a malevolent incompetent fool not a leader or protector.
Plus Trump and minions are anti-science and have hollowed out and put in charge maladroit leadership in the CDC and agencies tasked to respond to threads as presented by this virus.

The Conductor
(180 posts)Why did this have to happen now? The corona virus seems to have a death rate of something like 2%. That's the one this gang of dim bulbs is mismanaging.
Obama had to face Ebola, which has a death rate of 90%. He did. And with careful science and sensible planning using every tool available, they kept Ebola from spreading to the U.S., even as some aid workers from Africa did return and some died of the disease in the U.S. Anyone remember Trump criticizing that? Or failing to notice that the Obama response calmed the stock markets, rather than making them dive because our government now hasn't a clue? Our government did better managing the Influenza Epidemic in 1918, with only the crap medical techniques then available over a century back, which were just this side of bleeding people with leeches.
History is going to be extremely unkind to this orange idiot.
