Got the info from Wash Times
The group sent letters to the secretaries of state in Colorado, Florida and Michigan each a crucial 2020 presidential battleground demanding they take legally required steps to ensure their lists are accurate and inform the group of the measures they have taken before November.
...
The Honest Election Projects action stems from voters in the three states who came forward to serve as litigants with standing for legal action in each state. They are being represented by the law firm Consovoy McCarthy.
...
William Consovoy, a founding partner of the firm, previously represented President Trump in personal matters.
Complete and utter bullshit!
These anti-democratic vermin will stoop to lower lows every day

(5,557 posts)As it does suggest a structural flaw in our registration process.
The difference is what should be done after. The Pubs just want to purge voters, we should instead identity how the errors are introduced and fix the underlying process. It will work itself out in time without mass purges.
I still think voter registration and tracking who voted needs to be at the federal level

Doesn't mean they try to vote there. That's how KellyAnne Conway committed voter fraud.

(17,549 posts)An NPR story reported that about 1.8 million dead people remain on the rolls. It is my estimate that exactly none of the dead actually voted.

(33,345 posts)For instance, my Sister-in-Law COULD have filled out my late Mother-in-Law's ballot and forged her signature, but she didn't because that would be unethical.
The GOP is pretending this is a huge issue but their intent is to purge African-Americans.

(17,549 posts)It is my contention that very few people are willing to risk their freedom and treasure to add one more vote to the millions. The Republicans also worry about dead people voting at the polls. I don't know about other places but I have to present a valid g'ment ID to get my ballot, so unless I strongly resembled Aunt Nellie, I probably won't pull that off.
Of course the Republican strategy is to eliminate the black vote. It is easier than enacting policies that might win blacks over.
Republican government works on the same basis as corporations. In either, there is a single goal; for corporations it is profits, for Republicans it is power. Any method to gain either goal is considered to be smart; to be hampered by laws, ethics or morals is a weakness. Since the main goal of the Republicans is to support corporations and their shareholders, then it is a neat little package with the simple set of rules.
