Brooks wore a jersey of his favorite football player, who happened to have the "wrong" last name and the "wrong" number on it. Fanatical Republicans got both wrong and started trashing Garth Brooks unmercifully, having (here's a surprise) no clue that what they were getting upset about was completely wrong. They didn't even give Emily Litella the time to say, "never mind."
I think our Republicans deserve a little pity. After all, for a while now, they have found themselves confronted with a huge dilemma:
Is it more important to bash Democrats for a non-existent war on a real holiday (their "war on Christmas" ), or is it more important to wage real war on a non-existent city (in one poll, 41% of them said they wanted to bomb Aladdin's city of Agrabah)?
No wonder they prefer to bash a country singer for wearing a jersey of a sports hero. Now THAT is a clear and unambiguous stupid mistaken attack. Garth Brooks is definitely real. Sic 'em, boys!
Well, OK, maybe NOT so clear, but it shouldn't take them more than a week or two to figure this one out, whereas half of them are still looking for Agrabah on a map.

Stupid must not actually hurt, because so many of these people embrace it 24/7.
