Must keep up on Barr

I haven't seen where this has been posted. I had intended to post it yesterday in LBN. Time got away from me and I though it would have been posted by now. Please lock this if it is a dup.

I don't even like what this could be:

Barr said he was distressed by the attitude “that it’s OK to resist police officers” and that it now happens “on a casual basis.” He told listeners that the reason such laws exist against resisting police is because police officers are put into dangerous situations which can escalate quickly.

TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 242

Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, ... shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnaping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

Another side of the story. With great power comes great responsibility. Yes LEOs do risk life and well being and also hold life and liberty of others in their hands. Might does not equal right.

and your body goes into fight or flight mode because of the pain they cause you, they call that fucking resisting.

If you ask why you are being arrested they say you are resisting. If you wince in pain because they bend your wrists upward to cuff you, you are resisting.
If you start to buckle in the knees due to pain, you are resisting.
If you have 3 full grown men digging their knees and knuckles into your body and your body reacts to the pain, you are resisting.
If you twist your body to the right because they said to turn to the left, you are resisting.
If you shuffle your stance while cuffed to gain your balance, you are resisting.

This bullshit has to be addressed correctly and dealt with at every police department.

hope someone has a phone camera going. If not, you are screwed, unless you have a close relative that is a cop.

honest cop could see it, report it and back up your side of the story. There is usually one in every department. Very rare. Police have something they call "professional courtesy". It's an unwritten law that you always back up the other cop, right or wrong. That thin blue line or you can call it corruption. Cameras every where are our only hope.
