Plenty of Super-Tuesday TOONs, but this is GD, so none here. Except for Bloom'n Mike. He couldn't handle the heat and left the kitchen, so he's fair game.
Alllllllrighty, then!

(26,630 posts)My first thought was of Edgar Allen Poe's "Mask of the Red Death".
This immediately lead to "The Mask of the Orange Death".................
Need I say more?

(10,279 posts)on his losing campaign. The joke is on us. He can focus his companies and make back that money in less time it took to spend it.

(37,161 posts)...e.g., offering campaign workers ~$2500/month in places all across the country, not just ad buys. If he's really interested in supporting the party, he can keep paying those people to work for the eventual nominee. Otherwise, the whole thing was just another vanity project, and piss on his complaining.
(I suspect the latter, though.)

(17,559 posts)He only has 54.5 billion dollars left. It ain't like he is going to have his lights cut off...... The money was chump change to Bloomberg, a minor gamble with potential returns worth the money.
If I had 54.5 billion, I could pay off all my bills and maybe take a vacation.

(2,272 posts)I must admit but to be totally honest I don't think we should be laughing at Mr. Bloomberg at least as much as some of us are. If nothing else the ad's HE paid for out of his own pocket were spot on and MADE some trumpists at least see their leader in the same light as the rest of us do. Mr. Bloomberg had his faults indeed but he stuck it to our chump in chief like very few of our other candidates did or do. He wasn't my first choice, or second or even third but I have to admire him putting his money where his mouth is. I DO believe he hates what has happened to our country just as much as we do. He tried and thats more than some can say.

(37,161 posts)...and depending on the applicable campaign finance laws, at least some of what he was paying to support his own campaign can be redirected to support the Democratic nominee (and until it's all sorted, presumably in support of his endorsee, Joe Biden).
However, the part that does beg for ridicule is the fact that his whole campaign revolved around his decision to drop an incredible amount of money into joining the process late, and then when he got spanked in a debate and unsurprisingly didn't soar on Super Tuesday, he dropped right out and complained about what he spent.
What he does next will mark where his priorities lay, and whether it was all really just another billionaire vanity project like Steyer and Schultz.
