Oh, Andrea Mitchell, FFS.

Just played Trump's clip saying "Many people" (!) won't get that sick, probably won't feel it at all, and said "WE WEREN'T SURE WE WANTED TO PLAY THAT, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T WANT TO SPREAD MISINFORMATION, but it's not true."

What a valiant crusader of journalism.

I am no fan of Andrea Mitchell - this is actually good though that she & other journalists call out Pachamama Mar 2020 #2

She called out Trump for lying to the American people. There was nothing wrong with what she said.

I agree with the other posters that she was doing the right thing although soft selling it a bit.

But take a step back for a minute. That a major news network had to consider whether it was OK to run is an astounding thing. Not just wrong but so dangerously wrong that they had to consider squashing it.

I am glad they didn't because it needs to be confronted head on.
