Were basically not doing anything in groups. Theres some small alarm about someone I was in a room with a week ago but we hope its not Coronavirus. Shes a tad hysterical but went to the ER last night I understand. Hope she gets tested.
Were considering it our patriotic duty. This aint bullshit. And btw FUCK TRUMP.

(537 posts)Cancelled the biggest trade show of the year in Chicago. The build was supposed to start Wednesday morning they called it 5pm Tues evening. Not exactly sure what the deciding factor was. I can guess. It would have meant jobs for about 300+ tradespeople for 2 around the clock weeks. Not to mention jobs for security, food service, etc...
catchnrelease
(1,945 posts)This was discussed on the radio this am. How some of the big conventions and trade shows are being cancelled and how this will affect employment in the surrounding areas. As you say--the people that work in and around the events will be losing out on work and pay. It has a ripple effect.
One caller who has a gourmet spice company here in the US gets her packaging from China and is currently not able to get it. So she is buying it here in the US now, but her cost has gone from $.15 a piece to $1.25 a piece. Obviously this will make a big difference on her bottom line and what the consumers have to pay. She is worried.
There was also a contractor on tv the other night, saying that his workers are required to wear a specific kind of mask for their job--I think it involved spraying some kind of chemical or product. Because people are freaking out and buying up all kinds of masks he can not get the kind his crew is required to wear. So he said they can not do the job and will have to not go to the site, just have to wait until they can get masks. Now there is a whole backed up situation where a project can't be done.
The speculation was that if this really spreads widely it can bring on another recession.

Iron, too. Zinc very much. Zince is required for at least 200 enzyme reactions, essential for tissue repair and wound healing. Zinc deficiencies lead to increased susceptibility to infectious disease.
