I’ll do a mid afternoon run to the regular grocery. I just have a few things I’d like to get, mostly for st Patrick’s day next week.

I suspect that the speech tonight did nothing to calm things down.

I was at the Portland, OR Costco. It was the same thing. People were also scrubbing the handles on the refrigerator doors and the checker was wearing latex gloves. No toilet paper available to purchase. Also, no food samples. You could feel the uneasiness of everyone.

Would they not pick up and transmit the virus just like bare hands would? Unless the checker is changing gloves after each customer, it seems like it would spread it just the same. Suppose an infected customer wipes their nose with their hand and then touches a box of macaroni, the checker then touches that box and gets it on their hands then they touch the products everyone else is buying and spread it. It might protect the checker if the gloves remind them to not touch their face, that's seems about it.

The little dispenser of disinfectant wipes for the carts. Some motherfucker had ripped it off the wall and stole it and the sanitary wipes.

I went to the back of the parking lot and got a cart that had been sitting in the sun. Viruses are killed by UV waves. Gonna be my normal practice from now on.

I don't have a clue one where to find any. Costco was out when I was there and I found none anyplace else.

I guess I need to plant mullens and hope there's no surprise freeze?

There's only two of us, so we don't need much, but I can share any extra. We're down to 1-1/2 rolls in the house and I was starting to worry a tiny bit.

I just wanted a couple of things and figured it’ll be a shitshow on Saturday.

Zero toilet paper. Tons of paper towels. No diced tomatoes either.

it’s made in the US, not imported. It’s great to be in TP and Sanitizer business right now. Ibuprofen seems to be available still - I would recommend to stock fever, cold medicines asap, in two weeks you are unlikely to buy those.
