2. Remember how our allies--and the world--rallied to us after 9/11?

...and that was under Dubya. Though, to be sure, this was before the full range of his clusterfucks had begun. We here at DU know pretty much, what we all thought, and think, of him. But Jesus...compared to Trump? Bush II at least had some remnants of personal dignity, and he gave lip service to our alliances. And even Katrina was small-time, compared to what this is going to be by the time it's over...

3. If I were a non-US citizen, I would think whatever befell the US at the hands of Trump was

just deserts. I'd say "The difference of a couple percent in the popular vote is not enough to claim that Americans didn't elect him. To the nearest useful approximation, that is half. Don't pretend that he was imposed on you from the outside. You did that. And if you elect him, you own him and his actions. So get fucked, America. You live by the Trump you die by the Trump. You did this to yourself."


Now, as an American, I must say.... "PLEASE!!!! Please believe me! I voted against him, and told everyone I know to vote against him, and did everything I could to get others to vote against him!" and grovel in a very pathetic and humiliating way for any sort of mercy, forgiveness, or indulgence that I can inspire.
