If the White House spends billions on aide packages for the cruise ship

industry and the tourist industry and all the private entities affected by coronavirus it must fund COVID-19 treatment for the uninsured. Both are out of the norm spending. Otherwise that is not picking winners and losers. That is playing God.

I'm now hearing chatter out of Washington about a potential four week quarantine. The official poverty rate in 2018 was 11.8%. How many more people above the poverty line will be immediately under it within a week, two weeks, three weeks, a month of little to no work?

People at my company think I'm being Chicken Little about this. But so far, everything I've heard from my sources has come to pass and now looks conservative in hindsight. I'm not in panic mode, but definitely deep concern.

And when that happens, they better start looking for the boondoggles in military expenditures. It is the only sensible thing to do to avoid further hardshio on ordinary citizens.

Think of the recent farm bailout. The big corporate farms got more money and the small farmers got so little they still went bankrupt.

Since their negligence is partly responsible for this pandemic, why can't THEY take some of the blame (and cost?) This is blatant pandering from the gop, to their donors. The cruise industry has made billions in profit, let them now cover some of the costs. Why do US taxpayers have to fund multi millionaires? This SUCKS as much as the orange turd in the WH.

He doesn't care one bit about us and deliberately delayed testing the population for 8 weeks so he could have a company he's part owner in produce the test. They are obviously quite bad at it, or were told from the beginning to walk this as absolutely slow as possible. The same instructions were given to CDC so they routinely fail to test people who are probably actively carrying it. He thinks we'll just die in secret and no one will know, but I think we will rapidly be past that point. Guess that's when he blames Pence?

Panama is one of the countries. These ships get around US regulations that govern everything, including safety.

for the duration.

Don't think that many major cruise ships are based in the US because they don't like to comply with our labor, wage and liability laws. Floating sweat-shops.

Otherwise, we'll never stop the spread........

High priority should also be given to cash-strapped rural and inner-city clinics and hospitals.

for at least a year. That's a long time to subsidize them. It's not like retooling auto industry at all.
