of Covid 19 and resultant deaths have changed at all since yesterday? I suspect a "freeze" on providing info to the public, but cannot find the time frame for the #s they have on their site.i

(16,616 posts)It's been rising, but not at the rate it rose the prior few days.
But some states seem to be delaying releasing their statistics until later in the day, maybe because there are so many cases now that it's no longer Breaking News when we have a new case.
I don't know the accuracy of the NYT tracker, but it closely follows other trackers.
The chart showing the rise in cases over time has been rising exponentially, and will be updated tonight. (It's approximately 250 new cases a day as of yesterday and Tuesday. Today is not complete so it is just a short bar.. I'd post it if I knew how.

(15,124 posts)state, local and CDC #s as of about an hour ago. This does not really answer my concern: when is last time CDC #s CHANGED?
Thanks, though, for taking time to respond.

(2,278 posts)I heard on NPR yesterday that the CDC conducted ZERO tests yesterday.
State agencies only reported giving EIGHT!!!!!
The lack of increase is because of a lack of data being collected (largely due to limited test kits at the state level) and not an information freeze.

It has 1,323. I've read, and heard, about more positives but don't know how they get reported, and to who.
