my daughter was just told her job was put on hold... she just started (quit her previous job a few days ago) and today the new employer just called her to say they would pay her for 2 weeks and that's it... she is scared, angry and confused...

not a good time to be out looking for a new job... I feel just awful about this I am so worried about her

That is why it is always good to leave on the best terms you possibly can. A phone call would not hurt especially if they haven't back filled yet. Training new employees is expensive, and you never know who you might get.

I wish her the best.

My son works at a hotel as a HR manager, and occupancy is waaaay down - something will have to give. My DIL is a waitress at Red Lobster. She told me yesterday that she only made $23 dollars in tips. She will probably have to quit based on that, it's not worth the risk of working around the public.

Our world is being turned upside down. Things haven't been normal for what seems like forever. It's as though the orange scumbag brought all manner of evil with him to the WH. Hope he gets sick from covid-19. Yes. I do. Pence, too.
