An elderly friend of mine threw that at me today and it cracked me up. But why not? If short people can be called "vertically challenged," and if the fool in the White House could be called "intellectually challenged," what's wrong with calling elderly people"chronologically challenged?"
Like to hear from some "elderly" DUers about this.

(9,952 posts)At what point, what number are we old? I am thinking 80 is well within that limit. I am hitting 60. I call myself old.
and I rarely think of my age - I feel like I'm in my 40's. I don't feel old, therefore I''m not.

My personal goal in life is to live long enough that my hypothetical great grandchildren will all agree I'm too mean to die.

(82,383 posts)much more reasonable size to the restaurant portions. Still not old enough for most though - a few 55s or 60s but more often 65.
