At the request of the nursing homes. I believe other residential facilities are also being closed to visitors.

sons, daughters and grandchildren can't visit their grandparents. Hopefully they have access to Facetime or similar technology.
Seniors do need hugs from their family and friends

but voluntarily suspended last weekend after I dropped off a stack of books I had disinfected.
I had showered and changed my clothes to minimize any chance of virus transmission. I've already been in mostly self quarantine, working from home, etc. This woman relies on me so I had to make a last visit to try to stock her up.

They checked me at the front door. Interrogated if I'd been traveling and what my current health was - any fever, cough, etc. They documented who I was seeing, who I was and my phone#. And then they made me wash with hand sanitizer before I entered the building.
I profusely thanked them for their efforts to keep the residents safe. I was pleased that they were doing their best to protect their residents. I suspect they've shutdown visitors by now. I'm now trying to find out how we can get disinfected care packages in.

governor is ordering them closed to all visitors, including family. He'll only be called for critical issues (the facilities' electronic systems), and he'll have to wear a mask, fill out a questionnaire, have his temp taken, etc.
