I dropped off a sample at my clinic's lab this morning.

I could have mailed it, but I wanted to take it in person, so I could see what the clinic looked like today.

The parking lot was full. I opened the entry door with a disinfectant wipe, walked through the waiting room and directly into the lab, where the nice lady said, "Thanks." Then I walked out of the clinic, stopping only at the hands-free Purell dispenser at the exit. Then, I pushed the doors open with my butt and drove home. I touched nothing in the place, and stayed at least 6' from any other person.

The waiting room was about half full, with people sitting one seat apart from each other. I didn't see more than three or four masks, which is typical for flu season in that clinic. I heard no coughing during my brief time passing through the waiting room

Really, I saw no more people there than any other time I have been to that clinic at 10:30 AM. Doesn't look like people are panicked, really.

However, when I stopped at the supermarket on my way home, I did notice that the toilet paper shelves were empty. How strange. That the store is out of hand sanitizer I can understand, but not toilet paper. Oh, well, we have enough for a couple of weeks, or longer, if we ration it a little. I'll check the shelves whenever I go there. Eventually, everyone will have bought their six months supply, I suppose.

Aldi's limit is 2 packages. And, they had it in stock, this morning. Now a WHOLE lot, but but also had an employee monitoring it.

They are also limiting bread, milk and eggs to 2, per customer. Fortunately there was no limit on wine.

Had I noticed that, I would have bought a few more bottles. Oh well, Aldi is right up the road so no doubt I'll be 'risking' another venture. I'm going to need more salt for the water softener, anyway. They've got the best price.

retired. We generally go out & about to the pool, dr's/dentist, Costco, etc. Wednesday was my last day at the pool & Vons. We're doing an intervention on my hubby so he does not go on his weekly trip to Costco today. We're both in our mid 60's & 70's w/obligatory preexisting conditions.

We older folks have been there done that and seen it,just practice common sense and we will make it out the other end.

Trump and his ignorant suck ups are poed because we are using common sense and not creating or furthering the Infection rates.

Tough shit Donnie,we will survive in spite of you.

realized he couldn't be trusted and took measures on their own. When will those in his inner circle realize he doesn't give a shit about them or he'd get tested or self quarantine.

one is the Stockholm Syndrome, another is Groupie effect where people love the coattail effect, something may be coming their way. Another is people love to rub elbows with the rich and famous as well as people of power. The later is the most dangerous group we face.

We have no legitimate guidance from Chump and his minions, so it's up to us to use good common sense to plow through all this.

Note that Chump's presser today will be at 3:00 - one hour before the market closes. It will be interesting to watch the ticker as he speaks again - Up? or Down? He couldn't wait the additional hour to avoid any possible stock dumps at the last moment? I truly believe he's doing this purposely for his own ego, thinking that, of course, the market will be up based on his rhetoric and he's hoping to watch it do so.

RI's COVID-19 cases almost tripled overnight, going from 5 to 14, 3 of whom are children (ages not specified)! Our Governor is doing her daily presser right now, with new restrictions and guidelines. I have more confidence in the State gov't than I do the Feds.

We grew up in the forties, and when our relatives and others returned from Eourpe and Asia, they brought along unknown baggage in the form of Viral infections.

Our Families at first had no idea what was happening but soon figured out what the deal was. And we all figured out ways of prevention from these virus's or if there was someone close by who was infected, common sense said, clean clean and stay clean. That was what was the only available easy remedy most had at the time.
