(7,715 posts)Is that you had great leaders and Americans like FDR, Harry Truman, and Ike for the first 2 issues
For COVID 19, we have a delusional narcissistic sociopath who is a liar. That does not bode well at all.

(9,313 posts)I still hear politicians and pundits talk about the need for Trump to rise to the occasion. Idiots. Trump is literally incapable of changing his behavior.

(17,985 posts)We really need to watch PBS instead of the Commercial cable.
I sent that on for others to read.

(17,985 posts)Is actually doing a good job. He was booed off the stage after the Dayton massacre. Supposed to come up with a great gun law but when the camera goes off Mike is gone. If he passed a bill I never heard of it.

(17,549 posts)That a person can consider themselves to be politically, socially, and economically "conservative" without having to put their brains on ice. What he said was the God's own Truth.
Our crisis is equally one of leadership and health.

(27,121 posts)you miserable asshole!
Your constant toadying to the authoritarianism in the conservative wing is what enabled Trump and his cult.
Don't try to be precious about it now.
Just shut the fuck up and let the adults clean up your mess.

(1,160 posts)Thank you for posting this. I rarely catch TV, but I sometimes tune in PBS for Shields and Brooks. I missed it this week, so thanks.
It's the intellectual/non-hypocritical republicans (rara avis) I sort of get, but that's not what we're dealing with. I worry that too many people are so emotionally invested in this shyster that they will never be able to admit they were wrong.
