Massachusetts: Chinese worker had coronavirus symptoms -Couldn't get tested in US-Flew Back To China

The latest imported case in Beijing is a Chinese national who lives and works in Massachusetts. One of her coworkers was diagnosed with covid-19. She began to have symptoms 2 weeks ago. Her chest CT scan on 11/3 showed lung infections but couldn't get admitted. She requested

for a coronavirus test 3 times but was refused.
She and her husband and son flew back to China on 13/3 to get treatment.
They were transfered to a designated hospital right after landing.
She is confirmed infected and family are suspected

I read through the twitter thread and there's no way to validate this story.

Possible but seems unlikely.

Believe nothing on Twitter or Facebook if it cannot be validated by second sources.....

"Her chest CT scan on 11/3 showed lung infections but couldn't get admitted."

If she had a scan then she had a doctor and with infections, that doctor likely could have had her admitted at some hospital in her city. Further, if she had the money to fly from Mass to LA and then on to China, then money was not an issue.

Without seeing solid confirmation, I would suspect this story to have been planted by China or Russia just to demean the U.S.. I hope someone proves me wrong.

But you are right about our profit-driven healthcare system that's totally out of control. And, coronavirus tests should be readily available for everyone at this point. I totally disagree with statements coming even from some medical people that testing proves little or nothing. People have the right to know if they have it.

Cites a China-based version of a social media site, analogy to Twitter and Facebook (with some explicit government control overlay) sounds about right
