1st Orange County (FL) case is man who brunched at Mar-a-Lago; unclear whether Trump attended

The first case of coronavirus reported in Orange County is a man who told health officials he attended a brunch at Mar-a-Lago, but a health official couldn’t confirm to reporters whether President Donald Trump attended that event.

New details surrounding the patient’s travel history were announced Saturday by Raul Pino, the Orange County health director at the Florida Department of Health, who was at a press briefing by government and local health officials about the state of coronavirus in the county.

Pino said the 41-year-old may have contracted the virus in Palm Beach County, where he told officials he brunched at Trump’s resort but didn’t say whether the president was there at the time. The patient has since been placed in self-isolation along with his family.

“We are tracing the contacts of this individual, and we believe that we have control of the situation at this point," Pino said.
