Chillin' with a cat cam

I'm chillin' with a cat cam at [link:https://www.webcamtaxi.com/en/usa/california/kitten-rescue-cat-cam.html|

This has been a rough week. My78 year-old (as of tomorrow) mother had total reverse shoulder replacement Tuesday. I am her caregiver and have been here for 5 days now, tending to things. All went well.

Earlier today I told her in no uncertain terms to (1) stop bossing me, and (2) please do NOT watch FOX Snooze while I am here. There's more, but I'll spare it. Lo and behold, she went to bed tonight and fell asleep, remote in hand...and FOX was on. I took the remote out of her hand and shut the drivel off.

I'm pissed. I've got my bags packed and am heading back home tomorrow to my wife, kids, and grandkids. This is nuts. I'm tempted to tell her I can't be here if that propaganda is on...but I'll probably just make a quick and graceful exit because I don't want to ruin her birthday. It's bad enough that we lost my dad just 4 months ago.

Watching these kittens helps remind me to smile and be kind. Everyone is stressed, so I hope you find comfort in it too.

I kindly ask that they change it. If they don't, I leave. My Mom didn't know better. She does now. At least I can say she loved Shep, and of all those talking morons at least he told the truth from time to time. He was right maybe slightly more than a broken clock.

She's a simple woman who never graduated high school, was married and a mom (with me) at 17. When I called her out, she claimed she didn't even know she was on Fox. I replied that I ALWAYS make sure I know what I am watching, adding that FOX is propaganda. Apparently she slipped up again.

Essentially this is cluelessness, and this is a segment of the populace that Fox easily exploits

I too ask places to change the station, or I do so myself...or leave. I refuse to be a party to it. I already "Know thy enemy" and have no need to know it any better.
